The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has approved changes in the regulations regarding procedures for appeal by food businesses against decisions of rejection of their application for non-specified food and food ingredienchelated zinc citratets.Under the changes, food businesses can file an appeal before the Chief Executive Officer against any decision of rejection within 30 days.The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has approved changes in the regulations regarding procedures for appeal by food businesses against decisions of rejection of their application for non-specified food and food ingredients.The FSSAI has issued abest magnesium taurate and glycinaten order in this regard, stating, “The food business operators may file an appeal before the Chief Executive Officer of the food authority against any decision of rejection of application within 30 days of the receipt of rejection letter.
