South Korea Revises Food Code, Involving Food Ingredients and Contaminants

On November 14, 2024, South Korea&39;s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) announced amendments to the Food Code, effective November 15, 2024, with exceptions for chelated zinc 25 mgmaximumagnesium citrate 80 mgm residue limits for antimicrobials in livestock, fishery products, anduses of magnesium glycinate honey, as well as modifications to somag citrate liquidybean naming, wmagnesium malate for joint painhich will take effect on January 1, 2026.
